Custom Diecast Is Becoming an Art Form — Midnight Garage Brings the Culture to Philippine Diecast Expo 2026

Midnight Garage Custom Culture Showcase

From modified miniature cars to highly detailed automotive dioramas, PDX 2026 puts the creativity of Filipino customizers on display.

There is collecting diecast. Then there is creating something nobody else owns.

That is the culture the Midnight Garage Custom Culture Showcase will bring to the Philippine Diecast Expo 2026, happening on November 14–15, 2026 at SMX Convention Center Manila.

Presented by Philippine Diecast Expo (PDX) and Midnight Garage, the special exhibit puts the spotlight on a growing creative side of the diecast hobby: custom diecast cars and automotive dioramas.

When a Diecast Car Becomes a Canvas

For customizers, the car inside the blister is only the beginning.

Wheels are changed. Paint is stripped. Bodies are modified. Interiors are detailed. Liveries are redesigned. Some builders go even further by creating miniature garages, streets, parking areas and automotive environments around their cars.

The result can be something completely different from the model that originally came out of the package.

It is part collecting, part automotive design and part art.

And this is precisely what Midnight Garage: Custom Culture Showcase – Custom Diecast & Diorama Exhibit wants visitors to experience.

This Isn't About Who Has the Rarest Car

One interesting aspect of the Midnight Garage showcase is that it is not a competition.

There is no need for every build to fight for first place.

Instead, the emphasis is on creativity, craftsmanship and community.

It gives builders an opportunity to put their work on display and allows visitors to appreciate details that may have taken hours—or even days—to create.

That distinction matters.

Diecast collecting can sometimes revolve around rarity, exclusives and market value. Custom culture introduces another measure of value:

What can you create?

A relatively ordinary diecast car can become extraordinary in the hands of the right builder.

Bringing Real Automotive Culture Into 1:64 Scale

The fascinating thing about custom diecast is how closely it follows the real automotive world.

JDM. Street builds. Racing liveries. Stance. Tuners. Garage culture. Restoration. Motorsport.

Many of the movements that influence full-size automotive culture eventually find their way into miniature cars.

Diorama builders take the connection even further.

A customized model displayed inside a carefully constructed garage, workshop, gas station or city street suddenly has context.

The miniature car begins telling a story.

This makes the Midnight Garage exhibit at Philippine Diecast Expo interesting even for visitors who are not hardcore collectors.

It is automotive culture—only smaller.

PDX Is Building a Bigger Diecast Culture

The collaboration also reflects the direction being taken by the Philippine Diecast Expo.

PDX carries the positioning “Cars, Culture & Lifestyle,” allowing the event to explore the different communities surrounding automobiles and scale-model collecting.

A major diecast event should certainly have cars to buy.

But the culture surrounding those cars is equally important.

Collectors hunt.

Customizers build.

Diorama artists create worlds.

Automotive enthusiasts bring inspiration from real cars.

Communities bring people together.

Putting these elements under one roof can help develop a stronger Philippine diecast ecosystem rather than treating collecting purely as buying and selling.

Meet the Builders Behind the Cars

Another reason to visit the Midnight Garage Custom Culture Showcase is the opportunity to discover the people behind the builds.

Every customized car has decisions behind it.

Why those wheels?

Why that color?

Why that particular stance?

What inspired the diorama?

How was that tiny garage sign made?

For aspiring customizers, seeing the work personally—and potentially meeting other builders—can provide ideas that photographs on social media cannot completely replicate.

You may arrive at PDX as a collector.

You might leave wanting to become a builder.

See Midnight Garage at Philippine Diecast Expo 2026

The Midnight Garage Custom Culture Showcase – Custom Diecast & Diorama Exhibit will be part of the Philippine Diecast Expo 2026 on November 14–15, 2026 at SMX Convention Center Manila.

The showcase is presented by Philippine Diecast Expo and Midnight Garage, supported by R29 Custom, and event managed by Exlinkevents.

For the Filipino diecast community, it represents another side of the hobby worth celebrating.

Because sometimes the most interesting collectible isn't the one you find.

It's the one you build.

Decal Republic Partners with Philippine Diecast Expo 2026 as PDX Builds a Bigger Collector Experience

Decal Republic

The Philippine Diecast Expo 2026 is adding another name to its growing roster of event partners as Decal Republic officially joins PDX for its November 14–15 gathering at SMX Convention Center Manila.

For diecast collectors and automotive enthusiasts, however, this is more than a logo being added to an event poster.

Something is being prepared.

PDX and Decal Republic are already working on surprises connected to the partnership, with details expected to be revealed as the Philippine Diecast Expo gets closer.

Diecast Collecting Meets Custom Car Culture

The collaboration makes sense.

Diecast collecting has evolved far beyond buying miniature cars and keeping them inside their original packaging. Across the hobby, collectors are customizing models, creating dioramas, modifying displays and finding new ways to make their collections more personal.

It mirrors what happens in the real automotive world, where enthusiasts use decals, wheels, body kits, paint and other modifications to transform cars into expressions of their personalities.

This intersection of diecast collecting, customization and automotive culture is one of the areas that Philippine Diecast Expo wants to explore.

And Decal Republic fits right into that direction.

Philippine Diecast Expo Goes Beyond the Traditional Hobby Show

The Philippine Diecast Expo 2026 carries the positioning “Cars, Culture & Lifestyle.”

Instead of limiting the event to buying, selling and displaying diecast cars, PDX is bringing together different communities connected to automotive culture.

Collectors will find diecast brands, sellers, exclusives and collectibles, while automotive enthusiasts can experience activities extending into real cars, motorsports, customization, gaming and lifestyle.

Among the experiences surrounding PDX 2026 are the Liberty Walk Manila Experience, Philippine National SIM Racing Championship, SIM Drift Competition and PDX Gravity Race, together with collaborations involving different automotive, collector and lifestyle communities.

Decal Republic becomes another piece of this expanding ecosystem.

More Surprises Coming to PDX 2026

What exactly will come out of the Decal Republic × Philippine Diecast Expo partnership?

For now, PDX isn't revealing everything.

And perhaps that's part of the fun.

As November approaches, collectors can expect more announcements, partnerships, special activities and surprises to be unveiled.

The idea is to make visiting PDX a discovery experience—where someone may come looking for a particular diecast model but leave having experienced something completely unexpected.

That is also why partnerships such as Decal Republic matter.

Each partner has the opportunity to bring something different to the show and contribute to the larger collector and automotive experience.

A Growing Diecast Event in the Philippines

The growth of the Philippine diecast community has opened opportunities for events that connect collecting with the wider automotive lifestyle.

PDX wants to be one of those platforms.

By bringing together collectors, hobby shops, automotive brands, communities, creators and event partners, the Philippine Diecast Expo aims to help introduce the hobby to new audiences while giving established collectors more reasons to participate.

The addition of Decal Republic is another step in that direction.

But the real story behind this partnership has yet to be revealed.

Stay tuned. More surprises are coming.

The Philippine Diecast Expo 2026 happens on November 14–15, 2026 at SMX Convention Center Manila, Function Room 5.

Cars. Culture. Lifestyle.

The engines may be small, but the passion is massive.

Liberty Walk Manila 2026: A Three-Day Celebration of Cars, Culture and Lifestyle Comes to Manila

Liberty Walk Manila Experience 2026

MANILA, Philippines — Something big is coming for Filipino car enthusiasts and diecast collectors this November.

The Liberty Walk Manila Experience 2026 is set to bring together automotive culture, customized cars, diecast collecting, and lifestyle experiences across Metro Manila from November 13 to 15, 2026.

Presented by Philippine Diecast Expo 2026 (PDX), the three-day celebration will feature the Liberty Walk Manila Dinner, Liberty Walk Manila Car Meet, Liberty Walk Manila Car Show, Liberty Walk Kids Manila Launch, and Liberty Walk Manila Exclusives and Merchandise.

For enthusiasts who know Liberty Walk through its unmistakable customized cars—and collectors who know those same builds through their miniature counterparts—the Manila experience brings those worlds together.

And that's exactly what makes this weekend different.

Liberty Walk Manila Goes Beyond the Traditional Car Show

A car show usually begins when the exhibition doors open.

The Liberty Walk Manila Experience begins a day earlier.

Rather than limiting Liberty Walk Manila to a single appearance inside Philippine Diecast Expo 2026, the experience will unfold across several locations and activities.

It starts on November 13 with the Liberty Walk Manila Dinner at East Ocean Palace, followed by the Liberty Walk Manila Car Meet at Parqal Mall.

The celebration then moves to SMX Convention Center Manila on November 14–15 for the Philippine Diecast Expo 2026.

There, the Liberty Walk experience expands with a car show, the Liberty Walk Kids Manila Launch, and Liberty Walk exclusives and merchandise.

Three days. Multiple experiences. One automotive culture.

Liberty Walk Manila Dinner Opens the Experience on November 13

The weekend begins with the Liberty Walk Manila Dinner at East Ocean Palace on November 13.

While the cars naturally attract attention, automotive culture has always been built around people.

Collectors meet other collectors. Car owners exchange stories. Enthusiasts who may have known each other only through social media finally meet face to face.

The Liberty Walk Manila Dinner creates a more intimate opening to what will become a much bigger weekend.

And after dinner, the experience moves to the car community.

Liberty Walk Manila Car Meet Comes to Parqal Mall

The Liberty Walk Manila Car Meet at Parqal Mall is also scheduled for November 13, setting the stage for the Philippine Diecast Expo weekend.

There's something different about seeing customized cars outside the confines of a conventional exhibition.

A car meet brings enthusiasts closer to the machines and, more importantly, closer to one another.

It's where cameras come out, conversations begin and people gather around the builds that catch their attention.

For the Liberty Walk Manila Experience, the car meet represents the community side of the culture.

The following day, that energy moves indoors.

Liberty Walk Manila Car Show Joins Philippine Diecast Expo 2026

On November 14 and 15, the Liberty Walk Manila Car Show becomes one of the attractions of Philippine Diecast Expo 2026 at Function Room 5, SMX Convention Center Manila.

This is where two automotive worlds meet.

Many enthusiasts know Liberty Walk from full-scale customized cars. Others first discovered these builds as diecast models sitting on store shelves or inside their personal collections.

At PDX, those interests don't have to exist separately.

A collector can appreciate a miniature version of a car and then experience the design philosophy behind its full-scale counterpart.

That connection is central to what Philippine Diecast Expo wants to build.

PDX isn't only about the model sitting inside the packaging.

It's about the car, the story, the design and the culture that made someone want to collect it in the first place.

Liberty Walk Kids Manila Launch Connects Another Generation

One of the most interesting additions to the weekend is the Liberty Walk Kids Manila Launch, happening November 14–15 at SMX Convention Center Manila.

Ask many adult collectors where their fascination with cars started and the answer often goes back to childhood.

A toy car.

A poster on the bedroom wall.

A car they saw on the street.

Or perhaps a model they desperately wanted but couldn't afford at the time.

Years later, many of those children have become collectors and automotive enthusiasts themselves.

Some are now parents bringing their own children into the hobby.

That makes the Liberty Walk Kids Manila Launch more than another product component of the event. It connects today's car culture with the generation that may carry that passion forward.

Liberty Walk Manila Exclusives Give Collectors Another Reason to Attend

Of course, this is still Philippine Diecast Expo.

There has to be something to hunt.

The Liberty Walk Manila Exclusives and Merchandise will be available as part of the November 14–15 PDX experience.

And collectors understand why that matters.

Sometimes the best part of an expo is discovering something you weren't expecting to find.

You tell yourself you'll only look.

You walk around the exhibition.

Then you see that one piece.

Every collector knows what happens next.

Not every Liberty Walk Manila exclusive will be revealed immediately. Some of the surprises will be introduced as the event gets closer.

That is part of the experience.

Why Liberty Walk Fits the Philippine Diecast Expo

At first glance, a full-scale customized car and a 1:64 diecast might appear to belong to different worlds.

They don't.

They are connected by the same passion.

Automotive design inspires diecast manufacturers. Real-life custom builds become collectible models. Collectors become interested in the stories behind the cars. Car enthusiasts become collectors.

And around all of this develops a much broader culture involving art, fashion, street culture, gaming, entertainment and communities.

That's why Liberty Walk fits naturally into the Philippine Diecast Expo.

The idea behind PDX has always been bigger than simply displaying and selling miniature cars.

It is about creating a meeting place for the different communities connected by automotive passion.

That's also why the event carries three simple words:

Cars. Culture. Lifestyle.

Liberty Walk Manila Experience 2026 Schedule

For enthusiasts planning their November weekend, here's the current Liberty Walk Manila Experience schedule:

Date	Activity	Venue
November 13, 2026	Liberty Walk Manila Dinner	East Ocean Palace
November 13, 2026	Liberty Walk Manila Car Meet	Parqal Mall
November 14–15, 2026	Liberty Walk Manila Car Show	Function Room 5, SMX Convention Center Manila
November 14–15, 2026	Liberty Walk Kids Manila Launch	Function Room 5, SMX Convention Center Manila
November 14–15, 2026	Liberty Walk Manila Exclusives and Merchandise	Philippine Diecast Expo 2026, SMX Convention Center Manila

From Miniature Cars to Full-Scale Culture

Perhaps that's the best way to describe what is happening in November.

The small cars are leading us to something much bigger.

A diecast model can be only a few inches long, but behind it can be decades of automotive history, engineering, design, and culture.

Behind every collection is also a collector with a story.

The Philippine Diecast Expo 2026 wants to put those stories, communities, and experiences in one place.

And the Liberty Walk Manila Experience takes that idea beyond the exhibition hall.

From East Ocean Palace to Parqal Mall and finally to SMX Convention Center Manila, November 13–15 will be a weekend built around the people who simply love cars—whether they collect them, customize them, drive them, photograph them or just stop to admire them.

The engines may be small. The passion is massive.

Kids Company Philippines

The Philippine Diecast Expo 2026 is becoming an even bigger destination for families and young collectors, with Kids Company joining the event as an official partner.

Set for November 14 and 15, 2026, at SMX Convention Center Manila, Function Room 5, the two-day expo will unite diecast collecting, real-car culture, toys, art, gaming and street lifestyle in one exciting weekend.

Kids Company’s participation supports the expo’s goal of making collecting more accessible and enjoyable for people of all ages. Known for its selection of branded toys and children’s products, Kids Company brings a strong family connection to an event built around imagination, creativity and the joy of collecting.

Inspiring the Next Generation of Collectors

For many enthusiasts, the love for cars started with a small diecast model held in their hands as children. That first toy car often became the beginning of a bigger passion—one that eventually grew into carefully curated collections, custom creations and friendships within the collector community.

Through its partnership with Kids Company, the Philippine Diecast Expo hopes to inspire more children to discover the hobby while allowing parents to share their own passion with the next generation.

The expo is designed to be more than a marketplace. It will be a meeting place where longtime collectors, first-time buyers, families, hobby groups and automotive enthusiasts can connect through their shared appreciation for cars and collectibles.

A Full Weekend of Cars, Collectibles and Culture

Visitors can expect a wide range of limited and exclusive diecast models, custom builds, collector merchandise, community exhibits and interactive activities.

The event will also bring diecast culture closer to the real automotive world through the Liberty Walk Custom Car Show, featuring five customized vehicles. Other attractions include Gravity Racing, the Philippine National SIM Racing Competition and the Formula Drift Mini Competition.

Expanding the experience beyond cars and diecast collecting are three co-located events: Street Culture Convention, Cosplay Fiesta and TCG Grand Exchange. Together, these events will create a vibrant mix of automotive culture, street fashion, art toys, cosplay, gaming and trading-card communities.

Details about the activities and special participation of Kids Company will be revealed through the official Philippine Diecast Expo social media pages.

A Celebration for Every Generation

The Kids Company partnership reinforces the inclusive spirit of the Philippine Diecast Expo. Serious collectors can hunt for rare pieces, automotive fans can appreciate customized cars, and younger visitors can experience the excitement of starting a collection of their own.

The Philippine Diecast Expo 2026 is organized and managed by Exlink Management and Marketing Services Corporation.

₱1.35-Million Bid for Philippine Hot Wheels Convention Exclusive Stuns Collectors

Philippine Diecast Expo

A miniature car created one of the biggest collector stories of the year after a Philippine Hot Wheels Convention Exclusive received a staggering final bid of ₱1.35 million.

The remarkable bid was placed during the Philippine Hot Wheels Convention Exclusive Dinner, held on September 4, 2026, at Okada Manila. The occasion brought together serious collectors and Hot Wheels enthusiasts ahead of the main convention.

For people outside the hobby, spending more than a million pesos on a diecast car may seem unbelievable. Within the collector community, however, convention-exclusive releases belong to a different category. Their limited availability, connection to a major event and significance to the hobby can make them highly desirable.

This particular piece was not valued simply as a miniature vehicle. It represented exclusivity, collector history and the rare opportunity to own something that may never become widely available.

A Milestone for Philippine Diecast Collecting

The ₱1.35-million final bid reflects the strength and maturity of the Philippine collector market. What began for many as a childhood fascination has grown into a passionate community supported by conventions, trading groups, specialty stores, content creators and collector events.

Diecast collecting has also become increasingly diverse. Some collectors hunt for rare factory releases, while others focus on convention exclusives, vintage models, customs or cars connected to automotive and popular culture.

The headline-making bid does not mean that every Hot Wheels car is worth a fortune. Value still depends on several factors, including rarity, condition, demand, historical significance, and provenance. In this case, those elements came together and inspired a collector to make an extraordinary offer.

More than the amount itself, the moment shows how much emotion can be attached to collecting. Every prized piece carries a story—where it was discovered, how difficult it was to acquire and what it represents to its owner.

Collector Culture Continues to Grow

The exclusive dinner served as a lead-in to the Philippines Hot Wheels Collectors Convention 2026, taking place September 5–6 at the Crystal Pavilion of Okada Manila.

The gathering brings the community together through exclusive releases, displays, competitions and shared collector experiences. Events like this have helped elevate diecast collecting from a personal hobby into a visible part of the country’s broader automotive and lifestyle culture.

That momentum will continue at the Philippine Diecast Expo 2026, happening on November 14–15 at SMX Convention Center Manila, Function Room 5.

Built around the theme Cars, Culture & Lifestyle, PDX will bring together diecast collectibles, custom cars, racing activities, exclusive merchandise and street-culture experiences. It will also feature Cosplay Fiesta, adding cosplay, character artistry and pop-culture creativity to the expo weekend.

The combination reflects how today’s collector culture goes beyond miniature cars. It connects automotive passion with art, fashion, gaming, cosplay and entertainment—creating a wider experience for collectors, families and lifestyle enthusiasts.

The ₱1.35-million bid may have involved something small enough to fit in one hand, but its impact is much bigger. It is a powerful reminder that the true value of a collectible is shaped not only by its material or size, but by its rarity, history, and the passion of the people pursuing it.

The Philippine collector scene is accelerating—and this may only be the beginning.

Why Philippine Diecast Expo 2026 Is More Than a Collectors’ Event

Car Culture Philippines

What starts with a small diecast car can grow into a lifelong passion for automobiles, design, racing and community. That is the spirit behind the Philippine Diecast Expo 2026, happening on November 14–15, 2026, at SMX Convention Center Manila, Function Room 5.

PDX is not simply a place to buy and sell miniature cars. It is a meeting point for people who enjoy cars in all forms, from scale models and custom builds to racing simulators, street fashion, art toys and pop culture.

With the theme Cars, Culture & Lifestyle, the expo will bring different interests and communities together for one packed weekend.

See Five Liberty Walk Custom Cars Up Close

One of the most anticipated attractions at PDX is the Liberty Walk Custom Car Show, featuring five Liberty Walk custom cars.

Liberty Walk is known for turning already impressive vehicles into bold and unmistakable custom builds. Its signature wide-body styling has earned a strong following among car enthusiasts and diecast collectors around the world.

At the Philippine Diecast Expo, visitors will have the rare opportunity to see five of these custom cars together and appreciate the details that make each build unique.

The Liberty Walk experience will actually begin a day before the main expo.

On November 13, 2026, the Liberty Walk Car Meet will take place at PARQAL Mall in Parañaque City. It will be a gathering for the automotive community and anyone who appreciates customized vehicles.

The celebration continues that evening with the Liberty Walk Dinner at East Ocean Palace Restaurant, Parañaque City. The dinner will offer qualified guests a more personal experience with the Liberty Walk team and fellow car enthusiasts.

A Collector’s Hunt for Exclusive Finds

For many collectors, part of the fun is the hunt. You walk through rows of displays, talk with sellers, spot something unexpected and finally find the piece you have been looking for.

The Philippine Diecast Expo will feature a wide range of diecast models, collectibles, art toys, accessories and lifestyle products from participating exhibitors.

Visitors can also look forward to exclusive and limited-edition diecast releases and official event merchandise. These special items will give collectors a chance to bring home something connected to the PDX experience.

Serious collectors can search for their next prized model, while newcomers can discover how enjoyable the hobby can be. You do not need to know every casting, series or scale to be part of the community. Curiosity is enough to get started.

Racing Goes Beyond the Display Shelf

Not every diecast car at PDX will remain inside its packaging. The expo will have activities that put speed, balance and driver skill to the test.

The Gravity Race will send diecast cars down a specially designed track. Winning will depend on more than appearance. Each car’s setup and performance will matter once the race begins.

For virtual racing fans, the SIM Formula Drift Mini Competition will challenge players to control their cars through simulated drift runs where timing, angle and precision count.

The SIM Racing National Competition will take the experience further by bringing together competitive racers for an intense test of speed, consistency and racing strategy.

These competitions will give visitors several ways to enjoy car culture, whether they prefer collecting, racing miniature cars or getting behind the wheel of a simulator.

Three Co-Located Events Add More to the Weekend

Cars and collectibles often connect with other interests. That is why the Philippine Diecast Expo will be joined by three co-located events.

The Street Culture Convention will feature the creative energy of street fashion, urban art, toys and lifestyle communities.

The Cosplay Fiesta will bring cosplayers, anime enthusiasts, creators and pop-culture fans into the celebration.

The TCG Grand Exchange will provide a meeting place for trading-card players and collectors who want to discover, exchange and talk about cards.

Having these events in one venue means visitors can move from a diecast display to a custom car, discover streetwear and art toys, watch racing action, meet cosplayers and explore trading cards—all during the same visit.

Built Around People and Shared Passions

The most valuable part of a collector event is not always the rarest item on display. Sometimes, it is meeting someone who understands why a particular model matters to you.

PDX is being created as a welcoming space for collectors, families, car clubs, hobby groups, gamers, artists, cosplayers, brands and curious first-time visitors. It is a chance to reconnect with familiar faces, make new friends and become part of a larger community.

The Philippine Diecast Expo 2026 is organized and managed by Exlink Management and Marketing Services Corporation, an experienced organizer of exhibitions, conferences and community-focused events in the Philippines.
