RATIONALE:          

The development in the region is forcing the country to be more open and keep up with our neighboring countries. This is evident in the Tourism Sector, the lowering of the travel tax, the imminent transfer of International flights to NAIA 3, the budget allocation for the repair of NAIA 2, and the expansion in Clark where another International Airport that can accept a bigger number of tourists are just some of the numerous good news for the tourism industry.

The new Department of Tourism logo “It’s More Fun in the Philippines” is a social media rock star that needed concrete actions to transform it into economic gains for our country. The logo built a tourism momentum and this force we need to be prepared in order to maximize it.

It is with this landscape that a prepared and educated MICE professionals are needed. It is with this backdrop that educating and training the next MICE professionals is a must and an obligation among the existing MICE professionals.

Thus, MICE 101 will serve as one of the concrete actions to fast track the education and training of the next generation of MICE professionals.
